Sprit Of Alondray
www.spiritofalondray.com.au
The band lives in the small the South Australian coastal town of Aldinga and its name comes from the local folk legend which involves the sinking of the ship The Star of Greece in 1888 where its been suggested that the young Spanish stowaway Alondray appeared from the galley as the ship started to break up after it hit the reef off the shores of Port Willunga. As the ship sank Alondray was reported to have helped 3 crewmen to the safety of the shores but when returning for the fourth was swallowed by the sea never to be seen again.
