Coastal Technician

Craig Clifford

Craig has an Arts Diploma from the Centre for the Performing Arts, Technical Production. He is also a qualified mechanic. Since 1993, Craig has been the venue technician at the Arts Centre, in Pt. Noarlunga, and along with his production and instruction work in numerous high schools, he is also working with children's entertainers, Ticklish Allsorts, as their sound technician.

 

In the past few years Craig has worked on many major productions, both in Australia and overseas, as Production Manager for productions such as Leigh Warren Dance Company's performances across Australia, and the U.S. and Japan.

 

More recently, Craig has worked on Set Design and Construction for productions as diverse as the Clipsal 500 Launches, to Elton John's facilities at the Barossa, as well as Lighting Designer, Co-ordinating Technician, Rig Operator, and Production Manager for Opera and Dance productions and South Australia's own Fringe Festival and Writers' Festival events.

 

Locally, Craig has been involved in City of Onkaparinga events held on Rotary Park over the years, along with the City of Onkaparinga Christmas Pageants and Australia Day Concerts.

 

Craig will be tackling another role as a StageWRite facilitator for the 'Sound, Lighting, Camera & Action' Performance Writing Session to be held at the Aldinga Community Centre later this year. See StageWRite's Coastal Noticeboard for details.
