Pamela Garrick
Pamela began her career as dancer with Theaterama Ballet Company dancing in Nightclubs and Hotels around
After being so gruesomely strangled with her best friends pantyhose, Pam joined Sole Bros Circus to learn to fly the trapeze, which had been an ambition of hers since watching a circus practice in a local park when she was 8. Unfortunately the penance for learning this new skill was having to ride the ornery elephants dressed up in sequins and feather headdresses, but we all have to take the consequences of our actions don’t we.
Therein followed some overseas travelling, marriage and children, and she withdrew from actively being involved in show biz to concentrate on raising her two boys, doing a little directing and choreography from time to time until 2000 when she met up with some very colourful and talented characters in the Riverland who co-erced her into appearing in their winter melodramas.

Having the taste of ‘treading the boards’ once again, Pamela soon found herself appearing in plays for Therry Theatrical Society and Noarlunga Theatre Company, finding many new friends along the way, until her acting talents, many years of professional experience and her training in office administration led her to being elected President of the NTC committee in November last year.
This is one of the most challenging roles so far, as along with keeping the company afloat in these difficult financial times, she heads a positive and lively committee of dedicated people who are determined to see NTC grow and expand and become a training ground for young actors of the future to gain the experience and confidence to forge ahead with their careers.
Pam’s wish is to leave NTC a strong and solid base for future generations as her legacy to the theatrical world and the local community.
